Best way to iron NHS uniform/iron in crisp lines?

Hello,

I’m struggling to get my uniform to look really crisp, clean and well ironed.

I can iron the creases out of clothes but they don’t look particularly crisp.

I’m using a £25 Russell Hobbs iron. I try use the second lowest setting as I’m always nervous to scorch or burn my clothes and use the steam function a lot.

Any pointers? Thanks!

Turn your iron up, clinical uniforms are usually designed to withstand washing at 60 degrees and tumble drying, you're unlikely to scorch it. Also, spray starch. I used to use it when I wore uniform dresses and I use it now on our karate gis before competitions

Definitely starch

You can use an ironing cloth too if worried about heat, but the label should tell you what heat setting you can use...And always try heat on a hidden part of fabric first

No fabric conditioner, hot steam iron, spray starch

Starch and an ironing cloth, I bought a pack of 2 from morrisons years ago, they have the old morrisons logo on the packet 🙄 still use them regularly, work a treat ironing creases into black trousers without the trousers going shiny. You can use the hottest iron setting. Look on ebay
