Chronic illness cleaning thread

Thought it would be nice to have a thread with handy tips and to share things we have done for the day, even if it's something tiny!

First tip I can think of is a cream cleaner (I use the pink stuff in the tall bottle) to use in the shower. Doesn't gas you out like a spray, I put it all over the shower doors and metal bits at the end of a shower with a sponge and then rinse it off, everything is left shiny and the glass looks clean

I think the key is to do little bits little and often I have two chronic illnesses and find it overwhelming if I’ve got to much stuff in the house, so I’m trying to get rid slowly to charity! Changing bedding is so hard for me I get so tired doing that, some days I’ve got more energy in the mornings so I will do bit more then, other times it can be late at night, I fit things in when I’m feeling up to it, I do find very strong cleaning sprays will make me feel very nauseous, so I don’t use zoflora disinfectant, I love flash with bicarbonate spray, and the pink stuff , elbow grease none of these I find too strong! I also make myself get up when the adverts are on and I find you can do little bits in that time, I do sleep well though probably cos I’m exhausted, I have a vacuum cleaner downstairs and also one up, that really helps, same with cleaning items

I follow a podcast called a slob comes clean and she has some brilliant ideas. The key thing is that you always make progress but never make a bigger mess. She declutters without pulling everything out of a space or making piles (because when you run out of energy or get ill for a week, the piles collapse and you have a bigger mess than the one you started). She also has very clear guidelines on what jobs to start with to get your house under control after a crisis, what things are everyday essentials, and how to get the most progress for the limited energy you have.

On robovacs, I have a eufy which is ok. I had the loan of a roomba before which was excellent and would recommend highly if you can afford it, which I couldn’t Sad.
