Hiring a cleaner

Hi all
I’m considering getting a cleaner to come in. How long would a cleaner need to do a thorough clean once a week?
4 bedroom house including 3 bathrooms and 1 toilet. What can I expect her to do in a deep clean?

I am hoping to keep on top of things between the cleaner’s weekly visit so that it is all more manageable for me.
Thanks

In my old house, had cleaners once per fortnight. 2 bathrooms, cloak room and 4 beds, but 4 receptions..so probably similar workload. 2 ladies, 2 hours.
When I cleaned it myself it took about 4 hours too.
So about that, or if you are currently doing it yourself then however long it takes you.
I would question if you really need weekly cleans unless you have a lot of messy kids and pets. Once every 2 weeks is fine and then you do heavy traffic areas like loos, basin and kitchen floors a few times per week
I am very fussy about a clean house, but the fortnightly was fine
It doesn’t take longer if you leave it 2 weeks- all floors still need cleaning, bathrooms still need to be cleaned in same way, surfaces still need dusting…so it won’t be a bigger job to leave it 2 weeks.

Be very very specific with what you want your cleaners to do, and what the standard you expect is. You may need to go through a few first before you find someone who cleans to standard you want. Unfortunately there are a lot of companies out there that seem to think cleaning well is easy and a natural instinct to woman at a poor wage 🤦‍♀️🤔it isn’t, cleaners need to be trained just like any other professional job. And good cleaning services will cost more to cover this.

There are so many variables. Depends on size of house, rather than just number of bedrooms/bathrooms. It could be a 4 bed terrace or a large 4 bed detached with lots of floor space. Floors take a lot of time. Depends again how tidy it is to start. Do you want beds changed? Do you want sofas pulled out and hoovered/mopped under?

Your best to get a few recommendations for local cleaners and have them round to quote.

We are tidy neat people in a 4 bed 3 toilet. It takes our cleaner 2.5 hours once a week. I have literally no idea ow she does it, but it all looks fine.
