How out of date is out of date? Where do you draw the line?

In the middle of Marie Kondoing the house. Can't believe so many things are out of date. Obviously fresh foodstuffs are in the bin, but what about shoe polishes, nail varnish remover, pasta, food colourings, tonic water, TCP, Bonjela. I think I'm going to risk some!

Who's risked them and lived?

I have also used old sunscreen, usually on those days when I am not sure if I need it or not, on really sunny days I use new sunscreen. With household goods, it's just really if they still work

I would use the old sunscreen on my legs.

Some drinks like coke can taste a bit stale if more than a couple of months after best before date

Best before not die after

(My mum’s mantra)

I rarely look at dates. With food you can usually see or smell if it is no good.

I regularly eat out of date yoghurts. I think the most out of date ones were 2 months
