Musty smell in wardrobes - do these work?

Reposting here hoping for responses Smile

I've had some mild mould issues in a couple of free standing wardrobes. I have emptied them, cleaned them with bleach, washed most clothes with Napisan and got rid of the mouldy items (a couple of old leather belts, etc). I have also placed them in a different room which does not have the previous humidity issue and keep a few dehumidifying bags in them that I replace when necessary.

However, the odour has not gone away completely and I can smell it when I put my clothes on. Is there anything new that works? Like carbon filters, UV lights or ozone disinfectant that I can stick inside the wardrobe for an hour or so and gets rid of the smell without introducing a new smell IYSWIM?

I tried with pure charcoal (the kind used for barbecues and didn't work)

Thanks!

Ventilation. Open the doors or cut some holes in the back.

Ventilation

Yes, I try to do this, but I've had some moth problems in the past Blush so I also have hanging moth killers just in case and I don't want them to 'dissipate' too much IYSWIM

I was hoping for something 'novel' that worked from within

Try and not pack it too tight. Leave the doors open and or get a greenhouse heater. It's a long tubular shape that you could fit to the back of wardrobe or leave free standing, it has little legs. You would have to prevent anything from touching it so I think you can get a mesh to go over it.

But leaving the doors open would be the best bet.

get a greenhouse heater

I'll look into that, thanks!
