Keeping white pillowslips white- make-up issues

Help!

I buy good quality, white cotton bedding. No matter how much I try, my pillowslips always end up looking a bit 'cream' where I lie and it's make-up I'm sure.

Now before you freak out, I cleanse my face twice before bed and the cotton pads look clean. However, there must be a slight residue because that's what's on the pillowslips.

I wash my bedding at 60C and soak pillowslips beforehand in Vanish Oxy but in time they still look off-white.

Any more ideas? A hotter wash?

It’s your night cream, or serum, oil, or whatever you put on before bed.

Bio powder, oxi powder, long 60 degree washes and line drying should all help. Hot temperatures do deactivate the enzymes in bio powder, but they get plenty of time to work before the washing machine gets up to that temperature.

@Theoldwoman

Why don't you just use coloured ones to sleep on and white to keep your bed looking nice?
I was coming here to say this!

Don't wash stuff at 90 either. That's ridiculous.
You've got yourself into a spiral.
Not happy with natural face, so you cover it in make up, take off the make up with more products, add more products on to stop the consequences of the make up. Rub the stuff all over your pillow. Use 90 degree water and biological powder to get rid of the stains. Rinse and repeat.

No wonder the world is going to shit!!

Soaking should help. The hottest water that comes out of your tap plus biological powder and/or powdered stain remover/Napisan. Leave to soak over night.

Or try a prewash setting on the machine.

If you want to go old-school, get your biggest pan and put your pillowcases in it, add water and a few spoons of biological washing powder. Bring to the boil and then fast-simmer for 10 minutes. Use the end of a wooden spoon to kind of stir and poke down the pillowcases.

You used to get a powdered soaker called Biotex but I’m not sure if you can still get it. It was excellent.
