I've just had my first baby 10 weeks ago, he doesn't settle much and micro naps for 30min and I'm finding it very hard to keep on top of the day to day house work. How do others do it? I can't asked my parents as they don't drive and I personally don't want them coming on transport at the mo and my in laws are poorly. My husband helps out but I'm mindful he up at the crack of dawn to go to work. The little one barely sleeps so I can't do it all, I don't have time to put a hair brush through my hair. I get 3 hours sleep a night if im lucky and im slowly loosing my mind that my house isn't in order.

Has anyone got any tips? We can't afford a cleaner nor a nursery.

Can you put baby in a sling to get a few bits done? Thats what I did with DS. Managed things like hoovering and dishes and that made me feel better.

My 3rd was like that. I would wear her in a sling and just get on with what I needed to do.

My 3rd was also like this (she still doesn't need much sleep now at 5). A sling is a great idea. I used a travel cot as a playpen, and did short little bursts of cleaning.

I remember how hard it felt and stressed out I used to get! It does get easier x
