Depends what temperature your one hour wash is.I do general laundry at 40 but use the fast wash function, it should be ok at 30 if not overly dirty.
I do sheets at a 60 degree cotton wash which takes a bit longer. I change every fortnight though so if they'd been on for a week 40 would probably be ok for a one off.

It does go up to 60

A one hour wash is fine but the laundry assembly line in my house is dictated by the dryer which takes longer and has a smaller capacity.

To do six loads in one day, I'd have to put a load in the dryer and get them as dry as possible in the time it take for the washing machine to do a load and then distribute them to the line/ radiators/ clothes horse to finish off and switch the new wet load into the dryer. Rinse and repeat.

Does your washing machine not operate by the weight of the load? I can't put a full load on a quick wash, it buggers up the drum. The quickest full wash mine does is 90 minutes.

If you give everything a double spin on 1400 spin, then it should dry quicker.

Do the least dirtiest first on the fastest cycles. The dirtier items last on a hotter and longer cycle.
