Double ended bath blues

I have recently moved into my first home and everything is great apart from one thing - the bath is double ended and every time I have a shower I am literally standing on a slope (if facing forward). When I have my back to the shower I end up having to lean back like I'm in a conga line to wash off shampoo etc.

Not exactly the relaxing experience I'm looking for Hmm it bothers me more because if I have on/off issues with plantar fasciitis and I can feel my fascia under strain every time I shower because I'm on an incline!

Does anyone know the best way to resolve this? I had wondered about looking into a long shower head. Maybe there is another solution.

@Maria53 what type of shower is it? Mixer? Electric?

Is it on a riser rail or just a fixed head with the pipe coming out of the wall?

I have a shower over a double ended bath but don’t have a problem. I just stand on the flat bit and angle the shower head so that the water is flowing at me. Are you not able to do that?

@RuggerDownHere it is an electric shower and the head is on a rail coming out of the wall.

I feel the tension in my foot every time I take a shower as a result of having no stand on an incline. It's fairly unpleasant.

No I'm not @TheDeckchairGardener. If I stand on the flat bit I am simply too far away from the shower head and angling it doesn't help.

Possibly part of that could be to do with the fact there isnt a lot of water power in the shower head. So I do need to get under it.

@Maria53 I am thinking the shower isn't powerful enough spray wise to be able to stand on the flat bit. Hopefully something like this would do it.

Do the bath taps not have a shower hose thread ready for a shower hose to be attached or are they separate hot and cold feeds? Are they like this?

In the mean time, you could just do a hand held shower, bit of a faff as you have to wedge the shower head between your thighs whilst you wash your hair/body but at least it wouldn't exacerbate your plantar fasciitis, ouch for that by the way I heard it is awful.

Could you sit in the shower? That may work better.
