Old packing boxes - best way to get rid?!

Hi,

I'm new to this topic but hoping to get a lot of decluttering done! Feeling motivated.... just a little clueless which doesn't help.

So when we moved into our current property myself and ex obviously not being the sharpest tools in the boxes crammed our crappy old garden shed (wooden and falling to bit and rotten but that's another problem!) with the old cardboard packing boxes covered in tape flattened. Today I've taken them out and swept off the cobwebs and gross stuff and massive spiders and moved them into the garage.... but what is the best way of getting rid as there are loads and they are not reuseable having sat in a rotting shed for a year and a half....

Is the tip the best place? Will they take them covered in packing tape? Help... as I say, I'm a novice. Not mad crazy at the idea of putting them in my car thanks to the spiders and creepy crawlies...

Put them on gumtree or freegle, allotmenteers or gardeners use cardboard to smother weeds.

Advertise them on your local Facebook buying and selling or freebie page. There are always people asking for them!

Oh ok! Didn't think of that...

Have gotten rid of two lots in the past month thanks to Facebook community pages!

How do i advertise them though? Some are ok but others are a bit rotten or covered in cobwebs.... Some would be ok to use as a packing box again maybe but as I say they've been sat in a shed for a year and half !

Gardeners won't care that they're falling apart as they'll use them on the soil to stop weeds.

Ok cool, I will give it a try. Would be great to get rid of them! They take up so much room.
