Mildew in laundry bowl

So I have a collapsible bowl I use for handwashing in my utility room sink. But I'm guilty of also using it as a bit of drip tray underneath the clothes I've handwashed as they dry.

I came to give the bowl a clean today and my cloth was a very green afterwards - which I assume is mildew.

As you can probably tell I'm a bit of a cleaning/ housework novice, so:

  • I only wiped the bowl with method antibac, given I didn't expect that it was mildewy (grey base) - is that enough? Should I clean it with something stronger / should I chuck it?

  • I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant, is it dangerous to be cleaning mildew off things myself? In this case I didn't actually know I was cleaning mildew as I couldn't see it - but should I be taking pre-emptive care in future and not clean anything that might be damp, or is only black mold/ harsh cleaners a problem?

Soak it in Milton?

If it was green, that's algae, not mildew.

Bleach it.

Don't use poisonous chemicals - hot water, soap, a good scrup and then drying it properly has the same effect.
