Can not seem to find my feet today, although we had a lovley time swimming and the boys ate lunch really well and are both napping.

I have a pile of ironing to do

aslo had a call from a freind who we were going to be spending the weekend in December with and it has left me confused. They own a 9 bedroom holiday home in cornwall and we were going to stay along with the boys and some other friends for friends birthday.

Call this morning was that we would need to rent a house???? How could we come round for drinks and stuff as they boys are both inbed by 7.30 if we are in a house somewhere else. We have always stayed in their house in the past - erm I am leaving that one to DH.

no news on friend in hospital I am going to ring in a while

yaddayah · 07/11/2007 14:28

dc's currently brushing there teeth

I've been watching my new washing machine

Read back from my posts and my old one conked out on 2nd October no wonder i've gone demented

madhouse very odd renting a house .. plead ignrorance and get dh to clarify (thats what i'd do

EHM · 07/11/2007 14:46

my dd has just posted my clean bra & pants which I have just removed from the machine through the cat flap. She also has a 2nd bra around her neck? Thankfully the window cleaner has been & gone about 30 mins ago

gibberish · 07/11/2007 15:00

TMH how odd! Didn't she give any indication as to why you have to rent this time?? Agree, leave it to dh to sort out. He has to earn his keep somewhere

rofl EHM At least they were clean! dd3 was forever posting stuff out our letterbox - keys/credit cards/letters etc. Nightmare.

collected dd1 from her riding lesson. She has ridden ponies up to now and today, unexpectedly, she was given a horse - a HUGE one lol. She was out of her comfort zone - said it was completely different to riding a pony. She actually has to work hard at it now and there is further to fall...

Well, have written shopping list. Girls playing upstairs except for dd1 who has gone to babysit for one of my sisters (she is very much in demand - hardly see her these days and she is making a small fortune...)

Taking it easy now until I have to take dd3 and dd4 out about 4ish to their dancing lessons and do the shopping whilst they are there.

EHM · 07/11/2007 15:26

TMH How very odd

TheMadHouse · 07/11/2007 17:46

OK - The house is FULL and they are very sorry, so rather than rent a house. we are really strapped at the moment we are going to tell a white lie, that DH is moving offices that week (he is moving the week after). So that solves that.

I MUST Do the ironing this evening, oh and find the cat - he seems to have gone AWOL, not been see since this morning.

Grouchyoscar · 07/11/2007 17:47

Hello again

Ed was so amazing at the dentist's. He found the fingers in his mouth uncomfortable and complained a bit but he took the 3 injections and the tooth came out quickly and smoothly. Good job it came out too as the root was damaged and discoloured.Better out than in really.

Ed is a brave little man and I am very proud of him.

We went to the toy shop and tbh it was soul destroying, things piled up in an out of town shopping centre shed. There was no magic in it IYKWIM. Ah well, he chose a set of grabbing pincer thingy so he's happy. He got a pile of books from the Library sale too.

I've emptied the washer and hung up the wet washing to dry and I've remade Ed's bed. DH is making a vat of lasagne so I think I've stopped for the day. Have good evenings everyone

At the dentist, as the callipers went in to pull the tooth, Ed said 'I don't like your tweezers, I can pull it out by myself' What is he like

He loves the dentist song and has asked for it twice. It also reminds me to get a copy of Little Shop of Horrors on DVD as a) we don't have a copy and b) it's directed by Frank Oz so for a muppet fan who loves cookie, bert, animal, fozzie Rowlf and the swedish chef, it's criminal not to have it.

I've been rumbled. Ed is my be all and end all

TheMadHouse · 07/11/2007 18:48

** They are all for Ed for being a really brave boy.

IKWYM re toy shops, none of the old magic. We are lucky to have an old fashioned one in the next village, so it is magic, but expensive compared to the biger ones.

DH is sat in the living room with the boys doing bedtime stories and then it is going to be a snuggle up night for us. I have made cheesey fishcakes and we will have oven chips and mushey peas me thinks for our tea once the boys are tuced up.

Still not found the cat - he is white, but I wish he was glow in the dark. I am going to pop a pic on my profile

Evening all...I am back on track...I have done my routine list (well I still have lounge floor to clear but I normally leave hat as long as possible before bed in the hope that a) DP might actually do it for a change or b) DP might help as he wants me to hurry up so he can have his wicked way with me )

I have even done both my kitchen and lounge quickes today.

I am finding it easier having quickies in a specific room for a specific day as I don't have to remember what to do when. I know that I am in the kitchen and I know the kitchen quikies are the microwave plate & a hotspot & the DW filter.

AND I did yesterays mission [preen].

I don't need to do much on todays. I sometimes always clear clear the fridge out of leftovers and stuff on a Monday in antcipation of Tescos dellivery on Tues.

Anyway...isketch... It is an online version of pictionary which is great fun and highly addictive as we found out back in January (can you believe it is that long ago???). We used to make a 'MN' room and play against each other. If there is no MN room you can play with 'strangers' but they tend to be 12yo and nowhere near as much fun as a bunch of drunken MNers . Luda - didn't you used to play too? I know totoise did (when she could get a connection).

We do play occassionally still - usually on a Friday night. We will have to plan a 'meet-up' in advance so we can notify the regulars in advance ....

Jas · 07/11/2007 21:35

Hello ..... I am very not back on track. DP is working at home, so my days are messed up as he forgets to shut stair gates and I end up spending all my time removing ds from dangerous places/power tools.

I'm not even looking at missions at al I'm doing my daily routines to the best of my ability and spending as much time as I can out of the house.

I am having problems keeping up with the washing, as I can't hang it outside to dry, or dp takes it down and leaves it in a basket because it is in the way.
