Zoflora smells amazing!

Caspianberg · 04/03/2021 08:21

Open the window and clean. Honesty, most products are just hiding the smell

Open your windows regularly. Wash your pillows and duvets and shampoo your carpets at least once a year. Give your curtains and soft furnishings a clean with a steamer every few months. Don't leave washing to dry indoors. Empty your bins every day and wash out the bin at least once a week. Make sure your oven and microwave are cleaned regularly. No fake fragrances required.

My mum uses fabric softener. It STINKS! It makes me feel sick.
Just open your windows!
All these fake scents just smell nasty.
They're crap for the environment too!

Zoflora reminds of the spray used in public toilets

Lazy247 · 04/03/2021 08:29

I’m after something more than just clean, I want it so someone walks in and goes ‘oh it smells nice in here’

How about an aromatherapy diffuser, l like lemongrass, it smells really fresh and uplifting.

thosetalesofunexpected · 04/03/2021 08:48

@Lazy247

Just open your windows to freshen your place.

Also look up envoriment friendly household products on the market /or the home made ones online op.

thosetalesofunexpected · 04/03/2021 08:52

Most of the air fresher's on the market, have off putting artificial smell to them.

Which is blantadly obvious that someone is hiding /masking off putting/offensive smells

Caspianberg · 04/03/2021 09:11

The nicest smelling cleaner IMO is method. The almond wood one for floors and the spearmint toilet cleaner.

candycane222 · 04/03/2021 09:19

Fresh flowers? Most of the £1 daffodils Ive got have been perfumed. Hyacinths smell really strong (too strong for me). Im afraid if youused a 'home fragrance', if I walked in to your home I'd almost certainly think "ugh, can I open a window" . There is no such thing as a perfume everyone will think smells amazing, its a really personal to thing . And as pp have said, some artificial fragrances are irtitants or allergens to some people too. You may find your visitors will be asking for a tissue if you overdo it

Pure essential oils are great. I have a diffuser for mine which is always commented on. Also you can get ceramic magnets for your radiators that release the oils when they warm up. A few drops of essential oil in the loo is good for freshening the bathroom.
Make sure you get pure essential oil and not fragrance oil.

Zara chimney candle. Smells ace and like you have a lovely country home with an open fire.

FangsForTheMemory · 07/03/2021 21:10

Lavender oil and fresh air.
