Tumble causing a LOT of condensation

Daisypod · 22/02/2021 14:57

My condenser tumble is 11 months old and I have only in the last couple of months noticed how bad the condensation is coming from it. All the wall and cupboards next to it drip with water when it's on and the windows in the kitchen too. I wondered if it was faulty as it seems excessive. I clean the filter every time and the water collector and the big filter once a month. I expect some but my last one didn't cause this much.
Has anyone else got this problem? Managed to sort it?

Hmm that seems odd. I don't get any condensation with mine. Could it be faulty? What make is it? Have a google and see if this is a common problem.

that's definitely faulty. I have a cheap condenser dryer about two years old and all the water goes in the tank, as it is supposed to.

see if Dr Google can help if you post the make and model?

I have had condenser tumble driers for at least 10 years (two machines, same brand) never had it where I had condensation and it is in a small utility room so not a large area at all but I do leave the door open to the kitchen.

Yours does sound faulty. Is the door seal okay? Is the kitchen particularly cold at this time of year? I am wondering about winter weather.

I didn't have it with my last one either so it must be some sort of fault or it's a crap tumble. I got it as a free replacement when the last broke under extended warranty but it's a candy which I thought was a reasonable make. I have just realised that it was actually a year old at the beginning of feb so don't know if still under warranty 🙄
