Food processor

I'd like a food processor but unsure about which one!

I think the Kenwood ones are probably about right but interested in your thoughts?

I don't want a compact one, ideally 3L ish capacity. I also don't really want to spend more than £200. I would need the pulse function on it. Not so bothered about dough attachments as haven't heard great things about these!

Thank you Smile

This thread is quite old now, so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for the latest advice and guidance, we’ve recently updated our best food processor page with the models MNers love, including plenty of high-capacity options under £200. We hope this helps.

My absolute favourite is the magimix. Such amazing quality and will last you for so many years.

No helpful comment but I've just decided I want a magimix after reading this.

KitchenAid (I think 3.ish litres- not the mini and not the 4litre)

Glossy Onyx Black.
And it works brilliantly as well as looking good
All the attachment fit in a storage box
I don't use the whisk and I haven't tried dough but I have a small Kenwood stand mixer for that

Thank you all. I thought the KitchenAid was quite pricey?

I have had my Magimix for 10 years now and it is fantastic, it replaced the one my Grandma gave me which was actually 30 years old when it gave up the ghost. I also got a Kitchen Aid for Christmas - to me they do very different things (although appreciate you can get attachments for the Kitchenaid). What is it you want it for? The Magi-Mix is fantastic for blitzing, chopping, smoothies, grating, slicing etc and is a total workhorse in my kitchen. The KitchenAid on the other hand is great for cakes and also bread making (and I got the icecream maker attachment). If I could only have one I would still choose my MagiMix :)

Thanks @ostrom! Magimix sounds like exactly what I'm after 😁

I've just checked, mine is the Magimix Compact 3200 Food Processor which is easily big enough. John Lewis have it for £219 at the moment so just within your budget! That includes the case with all the slicing, grating and chopping attachments.

I'm also a magimix fan. Mine is only a little one but it does everything I need it to very efficiently.

The KitchenAid 3.1l is around £250ish (but I think they don't make them now , seems to be out of stock )
We got a £40 off with a BlueLight discount .

I keep eyeing up the KitchenAid stand mixer but I don't need one .

I've got a Kenwood Chef Premier (which isn't really, it's just the next one up from basic!)
The motor has three outlets - one for the stand mixer (and ice cream maker) and another on top for the blender, food processor, grinder and the third for a mincer and pasta maker. I remember years ago someone telling me to get the most powerful motor I could afford as they last longest so that influenced my choice. I'm really happy with it. The various attachments take up a lot of cupboard space though.
