Dishcloths

I can hardly believe my Saturday
morning has come to this but I'm looking for the best dishcloth Hmm.
I have used microfibre ones that I got from Lakeland for years, they are washable, large and have stripes on one side that give a bit more friction for rubbing dried one stuff.
Trouble is they don't sell them any more and any other microfibre ones I buy are really small.
I find that the very thin cloths leave the surface too wet (I have granite worktops).
Hit me with your best dishcloths please so I can park this and go and get on with something more interesting!

Mt mum gave me these for Christmas and I absolutely LOVE them.

Was a blue J cloth devotee but have converted to these and to white cotton dishcloths. Don't usually use them for actual dishes as I use a brush.

Try Mabu bamboo ones - I've seen them in Lakeland and Waitrose but that was some time ago.

I love my dishcloths, they are brilliant: Spontex Long Lasting Kitchen Cloths They last for ages and are very absorbent. They go in the washing machine.

flannels might fit your bill.

How about a Scrub Mummy?

LangClegsInSpace · 27/01/2021 20:03

IME you can't go wrong with good quality, old fashioned, cotton knitted dishcloths.

Look up Swedish dishcloths. There are lots of brands that do them - I got a multi pack of different colours from Amazon so I can use a different colour for cleaning than for the dishes. They go in the wash up to 60 degrees and last ages. They don't have a scrubby bit but I use a wooden dish brush for that (with a replaceable head).

Avoid microfibre - really bad for water pollution. Bamboo are supposed to be the answer until they're found to be otherwise - it's hard to keep up. I think the answer is to have loads so that you can chuck them in for washing frequently. I really like these:
MR.SIGA Bamboo Fiber Cleaning Cloths, Kitchen Dish Cloths, Reusable Dish Rags, Pack of 12, Size:23 x 18 cm

I buy old fashioned cotton ones. They bleach and wash well. Once they are a bit old they get relegated to floor cloths and then into cloth recycling once they're holey and beyond redemption!!

These - also Lakeland and last for ages. I buy about 2 packs a year and change them every day. Bleach nicely so stay white. www.lakeland.co.uk/23532/5-Classic-Lancashire-Dishcloths

Minky My husband won't use anything else !

Koh do packs of very good quality ecloths. Or Costco sell massive ones in packs of 36 in the car cleaning section. They are the only things that get my granite worktops properly shiny.
