How do you store your jewellery?

Just that really. I have one of the 90s style jewellery boxes - it's big and cumbersome. I don't wear a great deal of jewellery, just engagement and wedding ring and necklaces for work. Maybe my pandora bracelet for going out etc. None of it is expensive or fancy.

I want to get rid of the jewellery box as it takes up so much space on my chest of drawers.

How are you storing yours please? In a jewellery box? A pile of individual boxes? Pics most welcome.

Not sure what the 90s box is - if it’s stackers, then that’s what I use. I like the flexibility of choosing the type of compartments in each layer. I use this for my rings and my smaller items - pendant or chain necklaces etc. For bigger items, I use a jewellery stand - a bit like at glorified mug tree really.

What I like about both these approaches is I can see what I’ve got and take it out and put it back easily,

I store mine in the individual boxes they came in - in a safe.

I wear the same very simple jewellery daily - wedding/engagement/eternity ring, earrings and gold chain. I can't wear jewellery for work.

The rest only gets worn if I'm going out somewhere.

You can get a Full length mirrored cabinet or a Dressing table mirror if incognito/hidden is your thing. I've looked at both if these options because I have exactly the same thought.

Plonque · 04/01/2021 14:22

Sorry, that full length one is wall mounted but you can get it in Freestanding too.

I buy stackers, as that means that I can organise what I have and see immediately what I want to wear.

My DD has the freestanding mirrored cabinet , lockable .
Mine is a tabletop one , spins round , double sided so two mirrored, one door is for earrings , other door for necklaces /chains , then there's spaces for rings, brooches .

I was really pleased , taking the jewellery out of the boxes means I know what I have at a glance and I wear it .

Also limited at work- basically one wedding ring, stud earrings , no watch no necklaces.

Following this! Need something for earrings - none that expensive but lots of studs and hoops/dangly ones! Necklaces too

Necklaces and bracelets hang on a metal mug tree.
Brooches and rings in an antique wooden jewellery box.

Mine are in their original boxes. Either in the safe or in my wardrobe. The stuff I wear every day is in a little dish by my bed.

a couple of pieces in their boxes as ones tiffany and one is vintage in its original box the others in a small jewellery box with drawers dosent take up much room

Blackdog19 · 04/01/2021 18:34

I have stackers as well too!

ForeverBubblegum · 04/01/2021 18:34

In the boxes they came in, in an old shoe box, under the bed. I've been meaning together something proper for about 10 years.

I use old glasses cases for earrings which are v quick to open and shut and are padded
