I'm getting New Years, new me ready & want a couple of good new baking trays for roasting veg. A good non stick large pan would be great too.

Any recs for quality ones? Thank you kindly

I love my Circulon baking tins and trays. Only truly non stick ones I’ve used. For pans I like the Tefal ones with the colour changing dot.

we've made the switch to pyrex baking trays and have not looked back. No more issues with peeling non stick surfaces, and they will take a vigorous scrubbing if they get grimy. We've had no real issues with food sticking to them either

Birthdayhat · 29/12/2020 16:31

Pyrex here too for most things, a tray or baking dish depending on what it it - just bung it in the dishwasher afterwards, so much easier. I also use the grill pan from the oven (without the grill bit) for a lot of things as that also happily goes in the dishwasher - great for a big batch of roast veg.

Non stick baking trays are only non stick for a finite amount of time regardless of how much you spend, in my experience.

We just put baking parchment down on ours for food to sit on, saves scrubbing.

Will admit a brand new fully non-stick tray/pan is one of life's great pleasures though!

Pyrex or enamel !

Confusedandshaken · 30/12/2020 07:38

It depends what you need it for. For pies/quiches/cakes I use a flat Lakeland sheet and add baking parchment. For roasting veg/potatoes/ meat I use le Creuset enamel roasting pans. They are hideously expensive but they get so hot that they give incredible results and nothing seems to stick. They also come in really pretty colours (I have a cream one and a duck egg blue one) so you can bring them to the table and eliminate washing up a serving dish.

Tala baking trays. Not non stick, but I use them with silicon tray liners and they still look new 5 years later

whereiscaroline · 30/12/2020 07:44

I've just bought some Pyrex ones in the sales. Terrier myself watched a film about Teflon toxicity!

Oh autocorrect Blush

TERRIFIED myself WATCHING a film...

Easiglide (got mine from JL) - best purchase ever! Not cheap but great results and little if any oil needed.

buckeejit · 30/12/2020 11:00

Thanks all.

I will invest in a Pyrex tray & will keep an eye for the JL one -they had a lot on eBay before Christmas but none now

My DH bought me two Le Creuset non stick baking trays for Christmas and I've been using them non stop the last few days. Nothing sticks to them, they're a dream.

If you shop with Ocado, they are in their sale at the moment

I just treated myself to a new Le Creuset cookie sheet here and baking sheet with edges for stuff that might slide off here They are really good, lovely weight and super easy to clean, very non stick. Well worth the money after years of buying cheap ones that don’t last, buckle or aren’t non stick enough.

Blibbler · 03/01/2021 20:08

IKEA. £3.50 a tray. Wash when still warm and everything slides off. I chucked my expensive ridged trays of various makes as they were a bastard to clean. One extra emamel deep tray for roast potatoes and is safe in the dishwasher.

Sainsbury - the very dark grey heavy ones with the purple lable .

I use a bit of parchment too , saves using oil , stops anything breadcrumbed leaving half its crumb behind .

livingthegoodlife · 08/01/2021 19:32

Le Creuset baking tray, the small one is £15. Nothing has stuck yet and I've had it about 1 year so far.

CottonSock · 08/01/2021 19:33

Scanpan. Lifetime investment

imip · 10/01/2021 08:24

I use reusable baking parchment. I put it on my old Lakeland trays that were once non-stock but pretty crap. For roasting I use Pyrex dishes.

I really recommend reuseable baking parchment. I wash it in the cutlery tray in my dishwasher.

HappydaysArehere · 12/01/2021 10:52

Another vote for Pyrex. Tried every kind of roasting pan but it’s the Pyrex ones that survive the longest. Now got them in various sizes.
