Tips for using Rangemaster?

I was so excited to move from our small flat to a proper house ESPECIALLY as the kitchen has Rangemaster, a super upgrade from my 4 ring hob and tiny oven with the element hanging off.

Anyway, after 2 months here, I'm not sure the thing is all it's cracked up to be or if I'm not using it to it's full potential?

The main oven part is no bigger than my previous oven. (not the rangemasters fault!)
The tray that fixes to the door and pulls out is very clever, but it's wonky so you get burnt bits on the tray, and the thing that keeps the door shut requires a bit of force, so when you open and close the door, the food on the tray all gets shunted around.
The grill pan is fixed on rails, also clever/convenient but means I cant adjust the height, so you can only grill flat food! For example I couldn't finish off a frittata in their because the pan wouldn't fit.

Finally the odd tall thin oven, that only fits particularly small trays. What's the point and how am I meant to use that oven?

So, MN, am I missing something or has anyone else been as equally disappointed as me with their Rangemaster? (I realise there are bigger things going on in the world, so this is clearly semi lighthearted)

I have a wider model - when I saw the narrow oven in Currys, I knew that would be no good for me. So, I have two ovens the same size. No bigger than my last oven, but there's two, so I don't mind that.

One of the ovens has the tray on the door thing. I get what you mean about the food moving around. Doesn't matter for cooking a lasagne, but messy when it's a rice pudding. Also, it limits where you can put shelves or what you can put on them. It's fine as a second oven, and I've taken out one of the shelves and put it in the 'main' oven. I like that flexibility. I change the arrangement depending on whether I'm just cooking one thing, batch baking or doing a roast.

The grill I like, but yes, limited. I keep meaning to look up whether you can do anything about that. I don't use the grill much and it's usually the right height when I do, so I keep forgetting how awkward it is if you want to brown something in a dish.

Overall, I'm happy with the hob, the wok burner and griddle. The ovens work for me. Usually I use one, but I like having two the same size so shelves can be moved around.

I have the 90cm Rangemaster with the right hand small oven. It’s great for when the dds eat separately from us, ie; hit curries. Their food goes in there.
If you’re making a roast, the main roast anc potatoes cook in the main oven, then stuffing, Yorkshire’s, roast parsnips etc go in the small oven.
We only occasionally use the grill, but the large side flat plate comes in handy for kebabs and screened food, grilled halloumi and meats.
If the flat plate is not on the large hob I use this for my wok for stir fries.
Just invest in some smaller trays.
