Removing cigarette smell from unwashable fabric

I recently bought a gorgeous fabric covered Filofax from Facebook marketplace. But it absolutely reeks. (I'm an ex smoker with lots of smoking relatives and actually quite like the smell of a cigarette but I've never come across anything like this.)

I've tried scrubbing it with sugarsoap, washing up liquid and that really strong smelling disinfectant type stuff I've forgotten the name of. Not dettol though that might be a good shout.

I've also had it hanging out of an open window between showers for the last few days.

I really don't want to get rid of it, it's pretty, we're on a fairly tight budget, I've stupidly gone out and bought some inserts in the hope that it's very presence will make me a much more organised person (albeit one that's been beamed in from the 80's).

Any advice for getting this smell out of something that needs to be treated a bit carefully?

Put it in a Ziploc bag with baking powder?

Febreeze

Cover it in bi carb, leave over night then shake it off, Hoover it...

Bicarb - or shake and vac style odour neutraliser for carpets.
Febreze
Or washing machine dettol stuff, soak it, rinse off, allow to dry
Or, if really desperate and willing to risk wrecking it the dishwasher (works for lunchbox/bags which are fabric with plastic lining).

I found the only thing that got rid of smell of smoke was to air dry on the washing line so it blew through
