I am going crazy with out toilets and limescale.

We live in a hard water area and our toilet is constantly got limescale staining it.

I have left toilet cleaner in it over night so now have blue limescale

I have tried everything I can to get rid of it!

Please spam me with your fail proof solutions

Thanks

I'm from a country with rock solid water Grin. We use sticks made of pressed glass, it doesn't make scratch marks when wet and is only for the inside of toilets. Don't know what it is called (it's not pumice). A link so you can search for them.

You can buy boxes of citric acid from Wilko's.

They're in the laundry aisle.

@PansyPink

White vinegar. Empty the bowl, pour the vinegar in, leave for as long as you can (pref overnight). The limescale flakes off with a toilet brush after.

I always chuck white vinegar in the toilets as my last job before leaving the house to go on holiday as it works magic over a week or two, even without bailing the water out first.

Apparently coke works too but I've never tried it.

Thanks - I've tried Coke but barely touched it !!!!!!

I do try the black harpic tablets weekly which has really improved it. But I think I'm going to get some vinegar and citric acid and try bot.

Silly question but what vinegar do I get ?
Thanks

Citric acid or failing that hydrochloric/muriatic acid (if you have a pool shop around they sell it). Be careful though, you don't want to re-enact Alien

Whatever you do, don't mix chlorine (bleach) products with acids. It creates poisonous gas.

Two harpic tablets and for like 12 hours should

I use tesco own brand distilled white vinegar for cleaning. It's something like 46p a bottle.
