Hairs on washing

Anyone got any ideas for removing car hair from clothes? We have 4 cats and one of them pretty much sits on DS 24/7.

Find it difficult to remove the hairs even after an extra rinse in the washing machine. Is there anything anyone can reccommend?

I’ve found putting a washing up sponge in with the washing helps, the type with a rough pad. Seems to catch the hairs.

Tumble dryer if you have space, results aren't perfect but it gets rid of quite a bit. I barely use mine for actual drying, everything goes on an airer and then gets chucked in dryer for 10 minutes to blow the hair off and de-crease so I don't have to iron it 😊

I find that washing hairy clothes seems to bed the hair in more firmly. My kittens aren't prolific shredders yet, but with my old cat we used to use lint rollers a lot, although that is environmentally dreadful, but we used to be covered, so we rolled before putting in the wash basket. I did cover her favourite seating spots with blankets to minimise it getting on chairs to minimise hairy arses.

Tumble dryer.

I roller the kids school skirts and trousers as thats where the cat hair seems to gather

Thanks all - I'll try the sponge and might try school trousers in the dryer.
