Morning All

madhouse Have a good holiday

Early morning here...despite having a fairly late night.
DS woke about 5am with a high temperature...after much wriggling, coughing and me hunting for the calpol, we woke up DD2 who demanded "Mummy Up"..."Pop". Once downstairs, DD1 appeared...so we are all (well except for dh) up eating Muffins.

Ds is not looking well poor boy, I think it is a virus, as one has been going round.

Lazy day today...the forcast looks good...it was a beautiful day yesterday, if it is nice again then I'll get out and mow the lawn.

No I wasn't SMS! I was telling Spooky that my method is similar to yours, but I don't put things very clearly when I am typing

Hamster is cleaned out, veggies are ready to cook.
DP is procrastinating
ds is alseep.
I think I will do the fish tank.

Jas · 07/10/2007 13:03

Luckily dd1 can do her homework (yr 4) without help. I am mean and very rarely get involved. I do have to sit with dd1 (yr 2) as she struggles more

ScaryMonsterStories · 07/10/2007 13:36

Oh OK, I see fair enough, I have re-read it and can see the alternative meaning....sorry......

spookybatoscar · 07/10/2007 14:07

Luda I agree with Jas too.

Afternoon All

Yesterday got home from football at 6 and I didn't sit down til 8ish. Washing had to be brought in, DW emptied and put away, sink cleaned, worktops cleaned, Ed's tea made. Front room tidied and Ed put to bed (and talked to as he lost his evening priveledges)

Further weekend FLYing
This morning

Up
Make bed
Make Ed's bed
Empty DW
Put away
Have breakfast
Tidy front room storage area (Inc sorting Ed's toy baskets...took an hour)
Dust shelves

So I'll catch up with some sitting on my backside and then I'll do the ironing. Have fun

Thank you jas

(Well I actually couldn't get on the comp...so missed your advice,) but I have noted it for future reference...I actually par boiled the parsnips...so they were a bit over cooked, as they went all in with the potatoes!...but never mind.

I will be doing much more veg from now on...I ate far more than I thought I would, and the kids didn't even bat an eyelid, DS and DD2 ate pretty much everything. DH was not convinced " I'm 34 years old...I've done all the veggy tasting I need to do thanks!"

But anyway...good progress for the rest of us!
I have peppers to try and fathom out next!

(any lovely recipies for peppers v. much appreciated)

Thanks again xx

Morning all. I mean afternoon .

Thanks for the advice re wheelie bins.

I have put a wheelie bin liner in it and sprayed something called "bin gel" around. Apparently it should now smell "rainfresh". Instead of fetid nappies.

I did consider washing it out, but suddenly a wave of inertia came over me and I had to have a sit down.

My baby DD is really poorly. She was sick twice last night . And has been crying all day. It's not like her at all, she usually she loveliest, sweetest-natured baby in the world [no exaggeration emoticon]. She's so snotty she can't breathe and won't eat .

Hello
Haven't been in here for a while! And as usual for me my house is a mess!
Been quite busy today. loads of ironing done then this!

We will be away nxt week on our bargain Sun newspaper holiday. 4 nights in Weymouth. I can't wait.

But i have to get through ds2's 8th birthday on Wednesday first. Then illuminated carnival Saturday night in town and finally ds2's circus skills party on Sunday. (Thats if anyone comes! 4 replies so far )

Hope everyone is well and all is ok.
I will try and get back on board soon. Still waiting to start Broadband. Waiting for Modem pack to arrive. Only week and a half late so far

Just a short post.

Bear Sorry to hear that your little one is unwell. I hope she is much better soon.

Not read the thread, sorry, except for the last dozen or so posts.

luda Don't worry about it. When I got married, I rang up MIL and said "Right. I've bought a chicken from the butcher. What do I do next?" "A roasting tin? What does it look like? Yep, I think this is one. Right. What do I do next?" etc. I have got better over the last 15 yrs! You've got my tel number if ever you want to call. I know what to do with potatoes, carrots, peas, beans, corn on the cob, red cabbage, green cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, leek, courgette, parsnip and swede. Just don't ask my dh if I'm not in. You'd be better off googling Delia's recipies which is what I've done for fish and stuff when I didn't have it in one of my recipe books.

Off to bed! Nos da.

spookybatoscar · 07/10/2007 22:17

Luda...Char grilled peppers? pepperonata? or slice and cook them with onions and sausages?

for Baby Bear hope she picks up soon.

Have I missed something but where are Tort and EHM these days?

Spent most of the day asleep. Yesterday had caught up with me. Feel bad about being lazy but the ironing got done and clothes are ready for tomorrow. Hope I pick up for then.

I came to do something but forgot Can't have been important.

I'll say night all xx
