Removing cooking odours

My DH cooks with a lot of garlic. I love his cooking but recently this has become a bone of contention with us.

Even with an extractor and windows open the pungent smell of garlic lingers and drives me nuts!

I’ve tried some lemongrass incense sticks to no avail. I really don’t want our home and clothes always smelling of garlic and herbs!

Any recommendations of what to buy that will neutralise the odours?

Prices make a Chefs Candle to eliminate cooking smells. Alternatively after he's finished cooking put a pan of boiling water on the hob, throw in a lemon cut into quarters, some vanilla essence and a few sprigs of rosemary and let everything simmer for 20 minutes or so. It'll make your kitchen smell gorgeous!

Obviously clean thoroughly to make sure any stray specks of garlic are cleared from surfaces/chopping boards/sinks etc. Take the bin or food waste bag with the skins and clove ends out of the house. If you can, keep the kitchen door closed when cooking so the smell doesn’t soak into carpets and soft furnishings.

Assuming you’ve already done all that, light a scented candle, any one you like will do, and leave it on the hob for a few hours.

I second Price's chefs candle. You need to light it before you start cooking and leave it burning for a while afterwards but it definitely works
