How to remove bluetack grease marks from painted wall?

I have several greasemarks on painted walls from where bluetac used to be. I have removed all of the bluetac itself (using the bluetac on bluetac trick), but there are grease marks left behind.

Any advice on getting rid of them?

WD40 :)

Alcohol, probably the highest concentration you have will be your handgel

Toothpaste. Yes, really.

Thanks Smile

Can you elaborate though? Should I rub the WB40/ toothpaste/ alchol into the grease? Dab it on?

Also, will I need to hairdry it after?

I’d put the alcohol solution onto a kitchen roll and apply to the grease marks unless it’s easier to squirt the alcohol into the wall and then wipe with the kitchen roll. But you could use a microfibre cloth if you’d prefer.

Oh, can't help, but just to say the facilities guy at my office hates anyone using blutac as he said he can never get rid of the stain. I think he normally paints over with one of those water stain paints, then a coat of the office magnolia. He'd much rather we use sellotape, even if it peels paint off! Woe betide anyone he catches with blutac in hand near a wall (on a door or whiteboard is just about acceptable!)
