ok so not an ideal night to post this but i promise i won't be selling it on!

i lent a friend my carseat and when she gave it back it had a couple of small patches of mould on the parts of the seat cover that feel a bit plasticky (if that makes sense) i washed it, soaked it and tried vanish, bleach and WD40 but it seems ingrained....any ideas please

perhaps see how much it would cost to get a replacement seat cover? mould can cause breathing difficulties for a baby if it is a group 0 car seat.

A bit on your friends part I think. Did she acknowledge that she left you with mouldy seat.

CastsSpellsWitchySpells · 07/10/2007 09:17

That's rather poor form from your friend.

How old is the car seat though? Did you know that car seats only have a 6 year life from date of manufacture, so if it's older than that then you should bin it anyway. Details here.

only just seen other replies...it's 4 years old...if i can't get the marks out i prob will bin it...had planned to pass it on but it doesn't seem reasonable now
