Ironing for the lazy

I don’t open but feel I need to restart. I need a new easy iron or should I get a hand held steamer? Any recommendations gratefully received.

I hate ironing. Well I really hate the faff of setting up the ironing board but if there's something good on TV or a podcast I can iron away for ages!

I had a steam generator unit thing and liked it but after it broke I bought a decent Bosch steam iron (not with a separate steam unit).basically I think good steam output makes it lots easier.

Not used a hand held steamer before but I think they might be useful if you do loads of shirts?

Thank you. No shirts to iron here.

My cleaner irons

We had to get rid of the cleaners as DH is shielding. I miss them.

I have a steam generator (could not be without one) and on Saturday night (wild aren't I?) it was hot so I did the ironing in the garden and listened to an audiobook. It was done in a few hours.

I also think a decent ironing board helps (we have a huge brabantia one).

Also get a self cleaning steam generator, it saves having to worry about filters etc.

I love my steam generator iron. I have a Rowenta and would never go back. But I also bought a really crappy clothes steamer on groupon and you would be amazed how much ironing you can avoid with one. Get a de dang one though as mine drips everywhere and lasts 2 minutes.
