mine are at their end of life after being washed loads of times.
ideally I would relace them with something cotton. something like flannel size kitchen towels?
the (supermarket) ones I tried so far are nit absorbent enough and left lint over surfaces.
suggestions?

Cotton or bamboo 'muslins' sold for babies might fit the bill. Wr had some for granddaughter and I took a couple for the kitchen - used for straining rhubarb for rhubarb tin, for example. Thin enough for that. I bought some more to use for removing make up, but they're completely different - thicker and quite 'linty', so you need to look at a close up if ordering online.

I use Mabu bamboo dish cloths they last for months and when they finally become tatty I cut off a corner and use them for rags.

thanks! will have a look. haven't thought of 'baby flannels' might fit the bill.

I love Mabu cloths, once the starchiness they put in them to pack them nicely is rinsed out they go lovely and soft and wring out nearly dry. They're super absorbent and if they get a bit stained I bung them in a bowl of soapy water with a bit of bleach and come up lovely and white again. Sadly only Lakeland seem to do them now, Why did you stop stocking them Waitrose and Robert Dyas???? I'd really miss them if they went so have an unfeasibly large stash, just in case ...
