Is there an effective feather duster out there?

Just got rid of all the cobwebs using the flick-a-tea-towel method. I've tried many different so-called wonder dusters, made of feathers, sponge, nylon fibres, etc, but not one will actually pick up the cobwebs and hold onto them - they always end up flying around or sticking to the walls. Has anyone found a duster on a stick that really works?

The pledge one is good. (:

I like Ozzy the Ostrich he is great - extendable and gets the cobwebs no bother but he's a tender soul and seems to moult after a while I'm on my third one as he's still the best out there. I've tried microfibre ones but they don't compare.

I really rate my microfiber one, feather ones just shed in my experience, even the expensive ones.
Mine wasn't a fancy one, think it may have been Addis or Tesco own brand.

I've had two nylon ones from Lakeland ruined the first put putting it in a hot wash, dont do that . I've always found them very effective for cobwebs

I've had an old fashioned wooden handled ostrich feather one from amazon and it's great

Recently got a dragon duster from our local hardware shop. Holds on to the dust and cobwebs and just as importantly lets them go ageing when you shake it off outside as my old one used to hold on to them

A big plus for me is that it extends as well

I use Pledge fluffy dusters until they're on their last legs. I live in a very dusty, cobwebby house and really, the fluffy duster is the only one that really picks up the dust and cobwebs. You buy the handle and 5 fluffy dusters as a kit (in Sainsbury's or wherever). Each fluffy duster will last you absolute ages. For hard to reach cobwebs, I have a Leifheit ceiling brush which is brilliant. It's this: tinyurl.com/y2o89btt
You need to buy the telescopic handle for it, but it's worth it. I use other Leifheit attachments. I like their products the best. I'm my own cleaner, so at least I use nice stuff while doing the grunge work. Smile

Wow, thanks for all the feedback, folks! It seems I may have bought the only duster that doesn't work! Mind you, I did get it from a door-to-door lad with a shoulder bag (BIG mistake). ;>
