Does anyone have this Miele model?

Looking at the c3 Complete Powerline in black.
Not sure if it's good or if I should pay more (I'd rather not if I don't have to) and opt for the cat and dog c3?

Making a switch from the god awful cordless shark we have and hoping for something good on all floor types, wonky cottage stairs and for in the car.

Is the C3 Complete Powerline that much different from the more expensive Cat&Dog one?

I have this. Had it for 5 years? Had no problems. I think the cat and dog one comes with extra tools?

The only thing i would say with a cylinder hoover is that you are dragging it around and it gets caught on door frames etc as you hoover room to room.

Its a very powerful hoover though.

@AllForAnEasyLife thanks.

I don't mind the dragging it around part. I've put up with the cordless shark for nearly 2 years now and as convenient as it is my carpets never look great. The suction is non existent without the main vacuum head with the spin brushes on which in turn is useless on my narrow wonky staircase and the attachments don't do anything unless I'm just hoovering up a few crumbs. And don't get me started on the car where it's less than useless.

I want something powerful that actually works on hard floors too and that will get into nooks and crannies without me having manually clean the edges and corners and feed it to the vacuum.

It comes with a wooden floor head that has bristles all round it so no extra attachment is needed for the corners etc

I got it about a year ago and am very happy with it. There are 5 power settings, but for hard floor I use the lowest and it's totally fine. The higher settings would suck up the entire carpet in my study. On carpet I find that fluff can to get stuck in the bristles instead of being fully sucked up, so I use the hard floor setting to retract the bristles. It has a really long reach, so perfect for doing under the beds. Hope this helps!

My Dad has this model it's very powerful but as a pp has said it's a pain in the a@@ going around corners the thing just bangs into doorways (could be technique!). I have the cat and dog and I'd say this one is more powerful the cat and dog has a special head to get up the hair.

Thanks everyone!

Turns out DP went ahead and ordered one to be delivered Saturday without telling me (I have been a bit uncertain of it all as I was the one who originally pushed for the Shark as thought it would be good - boy was I wrong!)
He ordered the CX1 Blizzard Bagless in grey?
He said reviews looked good and he doesn't like spending money on the bags and filters for the bagged ones and he'd rather pay more for a Bagless.

I'm having a minor freak out and hoping it's going to be good!

Guessing no one has that one?

Hi @overweightcat How is this hoover ? I am looking to order one at the moment, would be great to have your feedback.

There are too many out there to choose from!

overweightcat · 17/06/2020 21:55

@Twilbury I love it!
It's not cordless but it sucks (in a good way) !!!!

I might be biased because I can't express how awful my cordless shark was on my hard floors but this one sucks up things before it even gets to them if you know what I mean? And you have to really turn the suction down for carpets or you won't move it it's so strong.

I was equal parts disgusted and satisfied when I hoovered my carpeted rooms and saw what I emptied into the bin after a year of the shark.

Thank you so much for the reply, you have helped make my mind up. It was so reasonably priced compared to others as well which always helps !

Twilbury · 18/06/2020 08:21

Actually ignore that about the cost I have just rechecked, I think I must have been looking at the junior one before .

overweightcat · 18/06/2020 09:44

It is a bit pricey @Twilbury ! But still cheaper than a dyson and on par or cheaper than a lot of shark models.
And what I like most about it it doesn't have brush heads or rollers and other fiddly bits that you have to spend half your time cleaning for it to work properly. Just a good standard vacuum head that sucks up everything not just tiny little bits of dust.

Out second choice was the c3 model - the black one as it has rave reviews. We spotted it for 170ish but DP didn't want the bags.

Yes I have found the C3 one for 170 and I think I might go for that one. Miele are such a good make in general but I dont think I even knew they did hoovers.
I dont mind about the bags thankfully.
