Rectangle sink mistake - any cleaning tips

Sooo without properly thinking/researching we put the linked sink in. It’s lovely to look at but impossible to clean, grime under the hidden drain and the corners are a nightmare. Apart from full on cleaning it every day anyone else got one and have any tips for getting in the corners??

Cotton buds?

RainX spray? (other brands available)

It's water repellent so if you treated the corners, it might stay cleaner?

A stiff toothbrush to get in the nooks and crannies with a good strong cleaner should help.

Reginabambina · 14/05/2020 09:20

Just wipe it down with a dettol wipe after each use?

f83mx · 14/05/2020 09:49

I’ve done the toothbrush and cotton buds and even the interdental floss brush things, still not perfect. I think I’ll just have to do daily cleans - was so much easier with our previous ceramic slightly rounded edged one, a wipe every other day kept it clean in between big bathroom cleans.

Can you get a really strong bathroom cleaner, spray it on and then it should all come up sparkly?

@f83mx

You need Lakeland cleaning sticks. They have a little sponge on one end and the other end is a curved point. They’re brilliant. I use them for things like cleaning behind the cooker knobs, the stupid grooves in the toaster, microwave etc. Being plastic and disposable they’re a bit environmentally unfriendly but if you were only doing the basin corners maybe you could just reuse the same one for a while.

Yes second the Lakeland sticks - they're really useful for all sorts of books and crannies round the house
