Looking for suggestions please - I'd like my clothes to smell lovely when I am wearing them - I find many nice scents disappear once clothes are dried. TIA

Comfort strawberries

PickledWilly · 14/05/2020 20:22

Ahhh my fav topic - fabric condition. I'm an absolute slut when it comes to nice smelling fab con. My ultimate favourite is the green lenor (meadow something?) but also use fairy and comfort blue. Have to rotate them as i miss the others when I use just one!

TheVelvetOnion · 14/05/2020 20:35

Definitely the Method Coconut one. Infact anything Method gets my vote Smile all the products I've tried smell amazing.

Boilingbunny · 14/05/2020 20:42

I was so excited to try the method coconut one because it smells amazing in the bottle. But it’s a bit meh on clothes, I was disappointed. Expensive too.

Oblomov20 · 14/05/2020 21:04

Dh just bought the comfort deluxe. Nicest one I've smelt in ages.

The method coconut or Waitrose own brand eco one - no idea what this is supposed to smell like but it's lovely and the scent lingers.

Fabric softeners are something I know a thing or two about.. I'm obsessed Grin

My favourites are from the Spanish brand Asevi. Puro Frescor and Colonia smell absolutely beautiful.
They're also much thicker consistency than brands like Comfort and Lenor and seem to go much further. I use them like mad though, I like my clothes and (especially!) bedding to smell really fragrant.

For me, the nicest smelling English brands;

  • Comfort Frosted Pine and Apple (only out around winter in B&M/Home Bargains)
  • Lenor Parfum Des Secrets Dazzle (such a wanky name)
  • Yellow Comfort
&
  • Lenor Exotic Bloom

I have about 6/7 bottles of different fabric conditioners on the go at once so that I don't go nose blind, think that's really important.

I also use the Lenor Unstoppables in the different scents to match the fabric conditioner I'm using Blush and mix up the detergent scents too.

Told you... obsessed...

Lenor Gold Orchid for clothes, and Comfort lavender for bedding

SinglePringle · 21/05/2020 18:19

@Lentilbaby I too have recently discovered this. It’s a lovely scent and makes clothes very very soft.

ElectricTonight · 21/05/2020 18:24

I've just discovered the Comfort honeysuckle and sandalwood and I almost want to drink it Blush

apropercatlady · 22/05/2020 11:52

I absolutely love this strawberry and lilly one
you can get it here pretty cheap and it lasts me ages as is pretty strong Grin

ActuallyItsEugene · 22/05/2020 12:16

Downy Fabric Conditoner smells incredible too.

I get it on Amazon as it's an American brand.. I think you can only get April Fresh but it smells great.
They've also got some dryer sheets in April Fresh & also in a Botantical scent.
Both are good.
Grin

I use this, it has a lovely fresh scent and lasts for a long time. Method smells nice but never seems to last on my washing. careplusprotect.com/international/washing/100-pure-essence-concentrated-laundry-perfume/

fabric softeners from Spain are my favorite, but hard to find here in London. www.supermercat.nl/international/contents/en-uk/d31_Detergents.html
