Bleach stains on white t shirt

Morning all!
I have a white t shirt that got sauce splatter on it whilst cooking. Anyway, bleached the spots and the sauce came out. But now I have three stains where I put the bleach. The bleach is citrus scented so is yellow coloured and that’s the colour of the stains. I’ve tried soaking the t shirt in bleach water and rewashing but the stains still haven’t come out. Any ideas what else I can try please?

It hasn't gone yellow because the bleach is citrus, any bleach will turn white yellow.
It's annoying, I got bleach on a new t shirt recently but in the end I had to suck it up as there's not much to be done.
As it's white you could try leaving it in direct sunlight, that can help stains on white.

Oh I thought because it’s really yellow the bleach that that’s what’s made the stain Hmm I’m so annoyed with myself! I’ve tried the sunshine trick but that still hasn’t shifted it. Never mind, I’ll cut it up and use it for rags.

The other alternative is to dye it, I usually get a £3 black machine dye from home bargains to bring leggings etc to life so next time I do that I'll pop the t shirt in too.
It is really annoying!
Hopefully someone will be along with a better suggestion soon.

I hadn’t thought of dying it, thank you! Will the dye take to the bleached blobs ok?

They do say bleached areas don't take however I've got bleach stains on leggings etc numerous times and the dye has always covered it completely!
I'm now more careful with bleach use! Grin

Hi I've just had success removing a yellow chlorine bleach mark from white trousers. I soaked the trousers for five hours in a solution of 30g scoop of oxy bleach (Lidl own brand) in 4 litres of properly hot water with a capful of bio detergent.

After the soak I put the trousers through a rinse and spin cycle and hung them outside to dry.

Hope this helps you.

@JayeAshe thank you! I’ve recently run out of oxy bleach and keep forgetting to put some in the trolley. I’ll give that a try when I remember to buy some! Grin

Glad to help. Must say I've embroidered/appliquéd over many bleach accidents in the last few years LOL.

Good luck OP!
