Cushion filler/pads - which ones?

Thought I'd cracked it when I could afford Laura Ashley cushions ( only two mind!) with a feather inner, rather than my rather flat looking capoc cheapies. However, what a let down - the luxury feather LA inners shed feathers everywhere as they push their way through the fabric.

Need to buy more - what do you recommend? Seems other choices - foam, hollofibre...any recommendations appreciated.

I have always found hollowfibre ones to go flat and not respond to plumping after a while, so I have feather. But we do get a lot of feather shed too.

I wonder if I can make a liner that stops the feathers escaping - not sure what fabric I would use?
The cushions are for seating in the kitchen - feather everywhere would be horrid.
Disappointed to find that hollowfibre may not be great!

I can't bear feathers creeping out of cushions, pillows and duvets, so this is a hollowfilbre home. I find their low cost means that I can replace them whenever they're not up to the job; some last longer than others. Ikea do cushion pads in a range of shapes and sizes - I buy theirs when I can.

Maybe you could use quilting batting to stop the feathers?

Thank you - might look at the quilting batting - need to google to find out what that is??? - or maybe IKEA - that seems easy!

It’s very like hollowfibre but in a roll, so you have it by the metre. Dunelm sell it.
