How to clean Earwax out of pillowcases?

Hello everyone,

My partner has had an ear infection and only started using a towel on a pillow. But the damage has already been done to the pillowcases.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice to get earwax out of pillows?

Thanks for your future replies! Smile

My gosh, that's grim! I would personally chuck them and treat yourself to a couple of fresh new ones. They aren't expensive and supermarkets have them/will deliver them.

I know, I’d prefer that option. I just wanted to see if I can get it out first, before I resort to that!

I’d try putting neat washing-up liquid on the stains and leaving it for a few hours before washing.

Perhaps pre soak in a bucket in very hot water and washing powder in that case.

I'd rub washing up liquid into it and wash at 60 degrees with bio powder. The hotter temperature will hopefully melt it so it gets washed away

Also post a long ear infection. I don't think I did anything special. Maybe a 60 degree wash with a pre-wash? Bio powder. Dried in sun on a hot day. No stains on any pillowcases - all white.

A boil wash and dry in the sun.

Thank you everyone!!

I tried the “60 degree wash with bio-powder”, thank you for all of your suggestions! They’re now bright white and clean Smile
