Pans for induction hob

I’m having a new kitchen fitted this week and need a new set of pans for the induction hob. Any recommendations? I don’t want to spend a fortune, I have no idea what I’m looking for.
Obviously some that can be purchased online.

We got ours from John Lewis, some of their own make and some were Jamie Oliver I think. They are expensive though Sad

Obviously induction-friendly!

Le Crueset type pans work well, but are obviously expensive.

We bought these and they have been fab:

I find a solid, flat base works best. We have some pans which are meant to be suitable for induction, but they have a ridged/ circular base which doesn't connect so well to the induction hob.

My Dietrich induction specifically states no cast iron due to the weight and due to the cost of the hob I have never used them, so oven only for them.

But I have Circulon saute/frying pans and then bog standard Ikea cooking pots, ie tall ones for cooking pasta etc or batch cooking.

Be very aware of the maximum pan size base for your hob. Mine allows me to combine zones so I can use bigger pans. Induction cooking is different to any other, is so many ways it is fantastic but put a too big pan on the hob and you will notice the outside ring of the pan is not heating up as it is off the heating element.

I have had my induction hob 7 years and I love it. It still looks brand new, easy to clean, easy to use.

We were able to keep some of our pans- just test them with a magnet.
We bought a stainless steel set from Argos quite cheaply and they’re doing really well.

I have JL pans for mine and they are now 10 years old and 100% perfect. You get what you pay for and they last well. I highly recommend the Le Crueset non stick frying pan and Jamie Oliver non stick if you want one for sauces. I don’t put heavy cast iron pans near my hob. I would worry about damaging it.

The only thing I’d recommend if you like stir fry is an induction wok. There needs to be contact between the pan and the hob so you need a flatter wok.

We have Tefal ingenio induction, the handle clips on and off so they're super easy to store and don't take up much room

Our old wok works though so might be worth testing the pots/pans you already have!

Mine are from Ikea, look good after three years... never had "expensive" pans so can't compare ...

Exciting for you though! New kitchen! 😁

I have a set of Prestige stainless steel induction pots and pans which are good (had them about 6 years now), and a Procook Gourmet induction wok which is great. I’d previously always had a gas hob, but I love my induction one - it’s so easy to clean. Enjoy your new kitchen!

We had ours from IKEA last year. Very pleat with gjemy.

I've got these. They are all steel, no rubber handles, so I can use them in the oven too.

I found this at John Lewis & Partners. What do you think? https://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-partners-classic-stainless-steel-lidded-saucepan-set-3-piece/p2647369?tmad=c&tmcampid=7&sshare=jlappioss_Y29tLmFwcGxlLlVJS2l0LmFjdGl2aXR5LkNvcHlUb1Bhc3RlYm9hcmQ=
