Hotpoint Ceramic Hob

I've just bought a new cooker and it's a ceramic hob. I've never had one before but after the first use the job is marked where the pan has been. I didn't drag or scrape the pan across the top. Is this normal?
I'm really miffed that after one use it's already marked and I don't want it to look a mess after a few months.

Wait till it cools down ,apply pink stuff paste or cif using dry cloth or kitchen paper , give it a good rub and then then wash it off . Flash erasers are also good . It should come up like new , good luck

Use the cleaner recommended in the paper work that came with the cooker and it will come up as good as new.

It looks like it has marked inside the glass

No this will rub off , mine does it too , you do need to use a dry cloth tho and a cream cleaner type product .

I've just found some pink stuff cream cleaner and used that and it's almost gone!

Agh after getting the hob spot on using the pink stuff I've now just stupidly wiped over one of the rings with a j cloth and it wasn't cooled down and it's left another mark. I could cry.
