Tell me how to clean my bathroom

It never looks good when I've done it compared to when my cleaner does it.
Where to start? I have cubicle shower loo and bath. No shower in bath so it's a case of scrubbing and swilling. Shower cubicle looks streaky in and out despite using daily spray and wiping with microfibre cloth. Floor will be ok as I can hoover and wipe with rag then mop but it seems to have those grey bits of dust that hang around and get wiped around.
Give me an order of what to do when and your tips?? Thank you!!

Following with interest! I’ve the same problem!

Assuming glass shower screen. Flash bathroom spray, a sponge and a rinse with the shower head leaves mine pristine. On the outer side I use a glass/mirror cleaner and a piece of 'blue roll' if you know what I mean (I suppose kitchen roll would also work)

Great start thank you! Bath and tiles? Toilet I tend to use CIF as I’ve got boys and every 2 hours or so it feels it gets crusty - then scrub inside bowl with micro fibre cloth. Inside I’m fine with. But again the top and sides and underneath I feel like I love grey fluff around !

Give the tiles in the shower a good scrub with bleach - I am amazed at how clean my shower was after this. I use a spray with bleach on the loo each time I pop in there - I have boys too. Quick spray and clean with loo roll. Then every two days I clean the complete sink/loo/shower tray.

Dust everything high up, otherwise it'll carry on drifting down and be constantly making everything dirty. Dust moves all around the room undoing all of your cleaning! Dust the toilet, sink, etc next. Hoover. Then clean the toilet, sink, etc. Then clean the floor.

Littleshortcake · 03/04/2020 15:59

Yes bleach spray the tiles. Put tissue paper around and grim parts and spray with bleach so it soaks in and then rinse off twenty mins later. I swear by Lidl w5 limescale remover in the blue bottle. Spread around the top of the shower door and let it drip down and scrub off. Make sure and Hoover the floor before you wash.

It’s not looking too shabby tbh. I’ve taken all the bottles out and only put a couple back. Floor scrubbed with cloth then mopped. Must get a telescopic duster to do high up next week

Vikal is very good for taps and plug holes. Spray and leave for 5 mins then give a scrub and rinse. Gets rid of water marks. I also use this or flash bathroom on my shower screen. I spray and leave both sides and then wet a bathroom sponge and use the scrubby side on both sides and then rinse down. Once it dries it’s spotless.

Wereallsquare · 05/04/2020 18:44

Dry every surface after cleaning to remove watermarks and streaks.

suriv · 05/04/2020 19:02

Vikal is great for glass shower screens. The black fluff is dust, clean cloth to gather it up!

tulipsrus · 05/04/2020 19:09

Cif is the only cleaner good enough, the old fashioned liquid stuff, not spray

And glass cleaner spray for he shower screen, also works for induction hobs

Biensur40 · 06/04/2020 05:10

Squeegee for shower screen to get rid of streaks first. We got a mini one on Amazon that you hang on the wall so that last person in shower each day can do it, in theory.

myidentitymycrisis · 06/04/2020 06:08

Use a clean dry cloth (I use old tea towels or rags from sheets) to polish/dry off after you have cleaned

I do this on the floor, outside of toilet, sink, etc
