No-cover duvet

I’ve just washed my no-cover duvet for the first time. Bliss not to have to struggle with a cover afterwards and a double one fitted in my washing machine but it took hours to dry on the Tumble Cool setting. I’m nervous about any hotter because my tumble dryer is a Whirlpool and the duvet is filled with polyester, which seems like a fire risk.
Has anyone dried one on a low heat, which would be quicker?

I would use a cover.

I would definitely use a cover too - washing a duvet that often can't be good for it, surely? And it's much quicker to wash and dry a cover.

I wash duvets at the launderette and do a quick dry in their dryer, and then finish drying on the washing line. I wouldn't be washing a duvet this time of year unless I really had to. I guess I would keep feeding coins into the launderette machine.

Is it the M and a one? I’ve been curious about that for guests but didn’t think it’d work for every day use?
