Swimming was fun and picnic lunch ellie loved.Especially as she can run around as much as she likes. eventually she was so tired she lay on the grass on her tummy. Brought her home put her in the cot & she was asleep within 10 mins..bless

ruby the party ideas sound like fun. Along with the rental idea I am sure with the dcs, flying & dh you will be very busy.Good Luck!
SimplyS my dh doesn't write anything on our kitchen calender either. He then claims he has told me & I am supposed to remember Doesn't he know that having a baby zapps your brain cells
shouldbe sounds like thats been a worth while task. Hope ds is still enjoying school?
yadd your are very funny..honk honkEnjoy your cuppa.

I am off to have a cuppa before ellie wakes from her nap as she has already been asleep 45 mins. Oh must also amend tesco delivery whilst I remember.

SimplySparkling · 06/09/2007 14:22

yadda It's not so bad when you know someone else is working hard, too, is it? I'm now out of puff and sweaty as I've cut the grass. Ooops. I've just remembered that I haven't cut the bit next to the pavement. Ah, well! I've put another load of washing in the machine, too.

I'm going to have a short break and then I'll have a bite of lunch. I mustn't forget the rest of my list:-
~ keep going with the laundry
~ finish hoovering upstairs and put hoover away
~ water houseplants or ask the kids to do it
~ cook the salmon joint ready for an early tea

See you later!

blossomsmine · 06/09/2007 14:34

I managed to get off work early so back to catch up abit!
EHM your lunch in the orchard sounds lovely glad you had a nice time
My next problem is thinking what to do for dinner.......that is the worst part of my day
But.....i am happy as i did 15 mins decluttering in the bedroom, still got a long way to go but it will happen in the end.

EHM · 06/09/2007 14:39

blossom thanks it was nice, its only 5/10 mins walk from where we live. We can pass it on the way back from the swimming pool. Good luck with tea

EHM · 06/09/2007 14:42

oops should I say dinner I can't help it I am from up north Glad you got off work early.

grouchyoscar · 06/09/2007 16:10

Afternoon ALL 1st time I've had to post today

Thanks for the understanding Jas and Shouldbe things just stick in my craw at times. Good job I'm not attempting to trump SIL really tbh or MIL wouldn't cope. SIL has been having an affair, her DH found out and marriage over, house sold etc etc. If I were to do that nMIL would have DH back at home for a start.

OOOh, I'm nasty when I want to be a judgemental swine

EHM I've seen it and it seems Henson lovely but...a touch too nice. Mind you I've not had too much chance to view it really. What I liked about Henson era henson stuff is the anarchic feel a lot of it had (animal, fozzie, gonzo, ernie cookie and myself for example) the new stuff is sweet enough but...I hope Ellie likes it tho (she's too young to be jaded like me)

right, hope everyone is having a good day. Here's my DONE list

Up
washed
S&S loo
S&S bathroom
Dressed
Get Ed's clothes laid out
Down with washing
Load and run WM
Empty DW
Put away
Make breakfast and eat
Prep breakfast for Ed
GO TO WORK !!! (I'm really chuffed about that)
Collect Ed
Bring him home
Peg out
Empty bag
Sort through post
Sort timesheet and arrange for posting
Have conversation with Ed

The local paper have done an article about Ed's accident on Tuesday. They got across my thanks to all who helped so I'm happy

yaddayah · 06/09/2007 17:38

Grouchy . this is MN be as judgemental as you like (just make sure she doesn't know your posting name !!

Hi all.
I have read the thread but thre is just too much to remember! So i will say Well done to everyone

Been quite a good day today. Had my friends ds frm 9.15-2.30. He was fine. Behaved really well and DD2 enjoyed having a friend to pay with.

Poor DD1 cried at school again . Her teacher came up to her and said what wrong xxxx bu not na very friendly voice . I did manage to hold back the tears as i left her stood in the middle of the room alone. Her teacher went off to talk to happy kids I really hope she settles in soon. She does seem ok once she is there which is good.

shouldbe I know what you mean about all the running around. Mine start at 9am. DD1 pick up at 2.30 then DS's picked up at 3.20.
It takes about 30 mins to walk each way so most of my day is lost at the moment.

Bewilderbeast · 06/09/2007 20:22

evening all good grief you've all been busy

my list went right out of the window today so done

shopping
washing x 2
spent some time out for coffee and cake with dp
mowed lawn
dug up ash sapling that is trying to crack my drain
general bit of gardening
gave blood

ds had a fab first day at nursery, he was all smiles and really relaxed when we picked him up so I guess he had a great time

ludaloo · 06/09/2007 20:29

Hi all

I'm sorry...I haven't read the thread...dh is needing to get on the comp...so I'm just typing a quick hello.

Bee busy cleaning a new car...dh exchanged his van for a ford escort estate...It is in need of a bit of TLC...previous owner had dogs which have managed to cover the entire interior in tiny white hairs!! God its hard to get them off!!!!!!!
Other than that it is really nice.

I spent all morning at toddler group...had to open up...get all the toys out...make all the tea's and coffee...sweep up...put toys all away...and lock up behind everyone!
Came home about 1pm....spent 2 hours in the car [very very hot and sweaty and irritating emoticon!!]

I have been walking everywhere...It takes me an age to get anywhere!!! I've been spending precious FLYing time walking from one end of the village to the other all week! School is at the top of a very steeep hill too!

Anyway...sorry to rant...have to go...being nagged and I've made him pace up and down...and hovver over my shoulder!

Catch up properly tomorrow (hopefully!)

XXXXXXX

blossomsmine · 06/09/2007 22:52

EHM you made me laugh, i was born in the north although not lived there since i was tiny, but still it took me ages to call 'tea' 'dinner'!! Its all the same i suppose its food! Not very nice food in my case
I cooked up a few extra meals today to go in the freezer, as over the next few weeks i will be busy most nights running my dd around for clubs
Didn't do much else though.
Well done to you all for doing so well today.
Luda i really sympathise, i could cope without a car if i didn't have to work or didn't have kids! You just waste so much time walking from one place to another don't you, hope you get things sorted soon
