I just pulled one off my leg and im covered in bites.
What is the best way to get rid of them?
Thanks!

get one of these flea bombs for each room in the house. clear out all food/toys and set them off. leave the house for a minimum of 2 hours (the fumes can be toxic and they need 2 hours to work), then come back, open all the windows and air out the house. vacuum all the carpet, wash all bedding in hot soapy water. remove all cushions from the sofas and sprinkle flea powder down the crevices, sprinkle the powder along the perimeters of walls and brush into carpet. whilst you leave the powder to act for an hour, either take the cushion covers off and wash in hot water, or vacuum them if they aren't removeable. after 1 hour, vacuum the whole room thoroughly.
you may need to treat outside too, if you have a yard or garden. Sprinkle cedar chips in shady areas that fleas frequent in your yard, as well as under the porch and outdoor furniture.
all the best x

Indorex spray is supposed to be effective

EsmesRedPetticoat · 29/02/2020 12:17

You have my sympathy! As sleep says, flea bomb then hover everything you can possibly Hoover. Then clean out the hoover afterwards. Do you know where they have come from if you don’t have pets?

sleepismysuperpower1 · 29/02/2020 12:18

oh, I forgot to mention bedding. you need to wash all bedding (mattress protectors, duvets etc) in hot water. vacuum the entire surface of the bare mattress 2 times, flip over and repeat on the other side. spray flea spray onto both sides (such as [[https://www.robertdyas.co.uk/zero-in-home-flea-spray-500ml?___store=robertdyas_uk_main_en_gb&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIv-nT4N725wIVRLDtCh2DPAksEAQYCyABEgIaBPD_BwE
this]] one), apply a zip up mattress protector and leave it covered for up to a month, to ensure all the eggs are killed as well as adult fleas

It could just be a few isolated fleas that have been brought in from outside. Without pets they will not survive as they don't live on humans. I wouldn't go too overboard but try indorex anyway

EmmaC78 · 29/02/2020 12:21

Indorex spray does work.

Wolfiefan · 29/02/2020 12:22

I wouldn’t use flea bombs.
Indorex is good.

Thank you for your advice :)

Indorex works well. You need to get any pupae to hatch before you spray so increase warmth, humidity, vibration. Heating on, bowl of water on top of radiators, hoover, then spray, concentrating around skirting boards and under heavy furniture.

Nooo do NOT hoover after you spray. It says it on the bottles. You just suck up the layer of killer you just put down negating the whole thing.
Hoover before you do it to wake them up.
