I think a perforator just puts loads of little holes in the paper so that the steam can get underneath. Useful if you have woodchip that has been painted with 20 coats of satin paint (yak)

its not woodchip, its just layers of crap 70's stuff thats been painted too

I wouldn't think you need the perforator. Steamers are great imo though

god yes
hundreds of pounds cheaper bu all accounts
i cnt wait to get ppaer stripped off and have lovely smooth walls to paint
i quite like the painting bit
