The ones in Asda are good. Huge variety of colours, very cheap and they last.

Wilko have a ‘finest’ type range which are excellent or keep an eye on Sainsbury’s, their Egyptian cotton towels are often on offer and are very good. I think primark have Egyptian cotton too which might be worth a look. My tip, before committing to a whole new supply of towels, buy the facecloth first to give you an idea of how the towels will wash and feel.

I bought bath sheets from tescos a few years ago which are still going strong.

Mixingitall · 16/02/2020 21:59

Primark, soft, fluffy and lovely!

Ikea.

Tesco or Primark. Had good quality towels that have lasted years and are still going strong.

Replaced all mine from Sainsbury's recently.
Primark homewares are good too..

There's great prices on these hospitality bath towels,

I second Asda ones. I have bought a couple of luxury ones in the past but they take ages to dry and frankly I don’t see any advantage in buying more expensive ones. The Asda ones are fine.

Primark Supreme range. Had some for years and wearing better than my Next towels.

Grandmi · 17/02/2020 22:24

Agree with gingeraffe...I have really expensive thick towels from fenwick which take forever to dry and are actually quite heavy and deposit fluff everywhere!! I went to Asda and bought 5 bath sheets at a fraction of the price and they are perfect!!

userxx · 17/02/2020 22:32

Asda ones are good, basic but do the job and don't take long to dry.

Another Ikea fan here. I fell into the trap of buying fluffy towels but they don't properly dry you. Ikea's are thinner and much more absorbent. They wash up really nicely and still look new a year on.

I've gone with primark but followed someone's advice and got two favs cloths first.

Thanks everyone!

I bought some M&S facecloths ( 4 for £6) which are lovely and soft - DD uses them to cleanse her face . I would find them too soft for towels though.

For hand and body - bales from Costco .

All white .

Another vote for Asda but not the basic ones.

AlexaAmbidextra · 28/02/2020 17:59

Matalan. They last for ages.
