Any tips to make my house look extra sparkly clean for the photos (and viewings actually!) would be very gratefully received Smile

Clean windows and any other reflective surfaces to get rid of smudges
Open all the curtains to let in the light
If something is small and you don't want to highlight how small it is, don't put something on it. If there is nothing to compare its size to then it looks bigger than it actually is.

Take a few practise photos & see if anything looks messy/cluttered.

Make sure your windows, tv, coffee table, worktops etc are spotless.

Put any person photos away if you don't want them on rightmove!

Remember your friends & neighbours will probably look online when they know you're selling just to have a nose!

Open blinds and curtains. Remove clutter. Move stuff off of the floor to give an impression of more floor space. Don't worry too much about dust it won't show on photos unless it's absolutely filthy

I made sure all curtains and blinds were open and tidy. Sofa cushions placed neatly. I cleared a lot off my worktops and ornamental things around the house and chucked them in a cupboard so it didn’t look cluttered Grin Beds all made, and bathroom looking tidy and clean. Just no general mess about the house or things laying on the floor. I even rearranged the odd piece of furniture to appear spacious. Also gave the garden and drive a tidy up.

And yes to neighbours being nosy and viewing it online as soon as they know it’s up for sale, as it’s exactly what I do Grin

Tidy away absolutely anything you can: no slippers, dressing gowns on doors; no scruffy towels or squint ones hanging up.

Put away anything that suggests a lack of storage issues or extra heaters/dehumidifiers anything that suggests a problem.

Take some photos yourself to see how it looks through a lens: sometimes quite different.

Get as much stuff as you can off surfaces. Generally make the house look like somewhere prospective buyers will wish they lived 😃

Thank you so much for all the tips!

Don't know why I didn't think about the neighbours looking at it, I would too haha, feels odd thinking about next door checking out my bedroom! Grin

Have nothing out - we've just done ours and can find nothing because any drawer or cupboard space was fair game to clear the visible areas.

Clean windows, floors and surfaces.

Definitely take pictures from all corners to see what shows up - really helped us to spot the problem areas!
