Reminded of this by another thread so not a TAAT. I have a bag of about 20 Persil dose pods that I came across when I was clearing out the cupboard under the sink one day and I kept coming across the little blighters! What are you supposed to do with them? I doubt if they're recyclable, I don't want to just chuck 'em into landfill and they look like they must be useful for something! Confused So if anybody has any bright ideas I'd love to hear them because now they're doomed to live forever in a bag in my utility room because they're bound to come in useful some day .

Are these the clothes washing pods? would you not use them for your clothes?

StressyMcStressFace · 29/12/2019 13:06

Well yes. But not all 20 at once Confused

Is it the plastic ball thing you're talking about?

bionicnemonic · 29/12/2019 13:16

If they’re a softish bendy plastic they’ll recycle. Or primary school for art project?

oktelephone3 · 29/12/2019 21:11

but as in would you not use them one at a time up untill they are used up? 20 washes later and they will be gone. Or is there a reason you don't want to use them?

dementedpixie · 29/12/2019 21:13

Because they are plastic balls and dont get used up - they are reusable for putting washing liquid into

Lunafortheloveogod · 29/12/2019 21:15

The little plastic cups you pour the liquid into? Or the actual 3in1 detergent pods?

The cups you could use to organise drawers, like little screws n bits that’d roll about.. same with Kirbys. If you want to be fancy glue magnets on to the bottoms n on the drawer so they don’t move either.
Paint tubs for crafts.
The scrubby ones work for scrubbing vanish or any other liquid detergent too, scrubbing carpet too.
Play kitchen bowls
Seed plant pots

Look for similar sized things you already use.

Nextphonewontbesamsung · 29/12/2019 21:16

Why don't you think your council will recycle them?

DobbyTheHouseElk · 29/12/2019 21:17

I put them in the recycling

dementedpixie · 29/12/2019 21:17

That's the ones @dementedpixie . I was never sure if they were recyclable or not maybe that's the best route. i think I may have missed a chance to make Christmas baubles out of them this year - that would be an interesting challenge for Kirstie Allsop!

See if your local nursery or primary school would like them for craft/art projects. In mine they can use any old shite recycling items.

theneverendinglaundry · 02/01/2020 11:09

Yes, they look perfect for junk modelling to me! Local school or nursery Smile

zasknbg · 02/01/2020 11:15

I’d put that in the plastic recycling
