Darkening leather sofa?

Morning all,

I've just purchased what should be a matching footstool for our pretty ancient but still comfortable Tetrad leather sofa.

The footstool has evidently been kept away from sunlight or something as it's much darker and makes the sofa look quite tan in comparison. The sofa also looks quite dry whereas the leather on the footstool looks more 'nourished' IYSWIM.

I prefer the colour of the footstool, can anyone recommend a leather cream or polish I could use on the sofa to darken and nourish it a bit?

You could ask Tetrad or look on their site?
Leather renovation cream?

Lord Sherrington does a range.

Thank you, will have a look - do either of you have good experience with particular products?

Also good idea to ask Tetrad, will do that.

I have cleaned leather things with a leather cream from Lidl. It darkened the leather only slightly. I've had a quick look for the tube but I can't find it without having a rummage. I think it slightly waterproofed the leather. It wasn't the Leather Lover so I can't comment on that one.

I used it on a leather pouffe and my Birkies and other shoes, and it wasn't greasy. I was glad I bought 2 tubes, as it was oopsed and cheapish.

Found the cream, I forgot that I had found it last night and left it somewhere visible as a reminder. It says shoe cream on it and the colour was Neutral and it says effective waterproofing on it.

Not sure if I'd use it on a sofa , but the moroccan pouffe looks ok.

If in doubt contact the manufacturer. Leather care is probably on their website.
