Help me clean my bathroom!

I've name changed because I am ridiculously embarrassed about this, and so am only asking on here because nobody knows who I am!

I've had a period of being unwell lately (approx 4 months) and in that time I have not once cleaned the bathroom. I know, shameful.

I'm starting to feel much better now but it seems like such a big task that I've been putting it off. It really needs a deep clean. Where do I start? The bath is mouldy in the corners on the sealant as well which I don't even know how to get rid of.

I need tips and encouragement so I can start tackling this tomorrow. I can get to the shops tomorrow to buy cleaning stuff. Bathroom is small, windowless and has the basics in it (toilet, sink, bath, shelf full of crap).

Please help!

I would maybe tackle it 10 minutes at a time a day, with a timer. That’s enough to notice an improvement every day, without it being an overwhelming task.

Mine got a bit like this. I started with “normal cleaning”, then did the harder bits earlier once I had momentum going!

Don't fret too much OP you are ready to take action that's the main thing. I'd tackle the toilet first, I use microfibre cloths and flash - key thing I have learnt is spray it on and leave it to work it's magic for 5 mins or so. If you have a toilet brush or toilet duck brush thing give it a good clean after wiping down the rim etc and then flush if it looks a bit grim still pop a bit of bleach down. You don't mention limescale but if that's a problem get some Harpic in the black bottle power plus I think it's called and pop some of that down.

Then I'd tackle the sink, again flash and a microfibre cloth don't forget to leave it work for a few minutes. If you have stainless steel or chrome fittings there is a product called Shiny Sinks - bloody amazing for chrome no more finger marks Grin. I'm sad I know.

Same method then for your bath, flash etc. Re the mould one trick I've used is kitchen roll soaked in bleach and left on the seal to take off the mould and pink.

Not sure if you have tiles? I find window cleaner good to bring back the shine.

Hope that helps - good luck!!!!

That's brilliant, thank you so much! I'm off out getting the bits and bobs in a little while and then I will crack on with it.

I think I will tackle a bit at a time and see how I get on. Usually I end up just doing it all once I get in the swing of things but if I allow myself to just do a little of it in my head, then I'll feel better if I've done more than I've set out to do IYSWIM.

Kitchen roll and bleach trick is ace. And definitely spray flash and let it work its magic
