I’m giving in and getting one but I’m not sure which. I don’t want to spend £100 odd on the Lakeland one so have been looking on amazon.

Can anyone recommend one that isn’t in the £100 bracket? There’s only 3 of us so don’t need a massive one but it will be used everyday.

Tia

I know it’s wxpwnaivw but our Lakeland one has been amazing, on most of the day most days for the last 7 years. I really would recommend it.
A friend has a dribuddy and she rages that highly too.

DowntonCrabby · 30/10/2019 13:28

expensive rates even

Palomasponcho · 30/10/2019 13:34

I had a Lakeland one but sent it back. It was in no way as good as its reviews
However a dehumidifier was a fraction of the cost and loads better.

I already have a humidifier. Airer is right next to it. I work from home and where I work is bitterly cold at the moment and I don’t want the heating on all day (which I will have to as my hands go numb despite fingerless gloves!) I’m thinking the heat coming off that will make the room slightly warmer and dry the washing that bit quicker so two birds, one stone!

A dry buddy is the one that you have to hang stuff on hangers isn’t it? I don’t hang anything up and don’t use hangers..... but I guess I could buy some...

I've got this one, it's lasted a couple of years so far and I love it.

There are similar on amazon, Argos etc. All about £40. It's not the sturdiest thing but I tumble dry a lot of stuff and the rest goes on here in our back bedroom. Dry in a day with a bit of rearranging a couple of times. It also definitely warms the room up.

Thanks didn’t think to look at the range. Pain they are sold out! Local one bit of a trek so won’t be able to get to one for a while Sad

I have a Dry Buddy too. It's very good.

saywhatwhatnow · 30/10/2019 13:56

These look similar

Span1elsRock · 30/10/2019 13:58

I love our Lakeland one, it's so much kinder on your clothes and really heats the room too. Worth every penny.

I think Aldi were advertising one a while back.........??

Wonderingwhyme · 30/10/2019 14:01

Aldi ones are all gone!

Thanks say I was looking at that one on amazon.

Why is the Lakeland one worth it more than the others? Out of interest?

I have the LakeLand one. I spent a long while deciding weather or not to buy due to the price.

It’s lasted really well, works brilliantly and I love it. I don’t regret it for a moment. I also have the cover for it. Sometimes I warm myself up in it, but don’t tell anyone!!

Wonderingwhyme · 30/10/2019 14:06

The Lakeland one looks massive. Is it? I don’t need a big one as we don’t generate much as dc are still young. Adding the cover to the price makes it unaffordable for me really.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 30/10/2019 14:14

You can use a sheet to cover it. It traps the heat and speeds up during time.

No, it’s not massive. Doesn’t take up much room. I have it in the conservatory sometimes, or on the landing. You can halve it to make it smaller.

This time of year, I’m still drying outside and warming up and finishing it on the heated airer. Or I load it up on wet days and it drys it perfectly. I do fiddle with it and move things, but you don’t need to.

I have the tower. It isn’t hot enough to burn if you touch it, but hot enough not to want to hold it for long.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 30/10/2019 14:18

The aftercare with Lakeland is really good.

I got my cover sometime after the airer. Before that I used a sheet. Only got the cover as it was neater and I use it as a cover when it’s not in use.

I think I got mine in 2014 and it’s still working like it did when I bought it.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 30/10/2019 14:20

Mine is the standard one.

Kab30 · 30/10/2019 14:24
