I've just got the DS's to remove all of DS1's stickers (that he got from school, sunday school, etc) from the fridge - we're going to use a sheet of paper to make a "sticker chart" (DS1's name for it LOL) to put next schools years on - which can then be easily removed.

HOWEVER, I'm now left with the remains of lots of stickers all over my fridge....and have no idea of an easy way to remove them......only way I can think is to stand and pick at them for the next 3 hours.......

Surgical sprit or methalayted, I keep surgical in my meds cupboard - just used some to get stickers off a wardrobe.

Always test whatever you use in inconspicuous area first.

Lighter fluid on a cotton ball.

I reeeeally miss that - always had it growing up and it clears off so much stuff. I need to go and buy some.

Try getting some Sticky Stuff Remover from the Kleeneze catalogue when it next comes through your door.

bit late to the party on this one, but hot vinegar gets alll glue off everything...even the glue off new windows from all the sodding stickers they put all over the glass!

Egypt · 22/08/2007 13:51

hot vinegar sounds good. but this DOES work, i do it all the time. was told by an antique furniture shop man who stuck stickers on his furniture to price them - you have to squirt furniture polish on the sticker at close range so it covers it thick and frothy. wait 5 mins then wipe. it's GONE. promise.
