I’ve got the usual wm, dryer, dw, bread maker, steam generator iron and my favourite the robo hoover.

Have you got something I need?.

Spray mop

whatsleep · 26/10/2019 16:30

I have a 9 year old dd who will hoover 2 staircases for a quid..... my life has improved dramatically since this discovery Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/10/2019 16:45

Possibly bit late for me to have kids 😂.

Got a spray mop, £5.99 in home bargains. Love it. The floors never been so clean!.

I like my steam press, it takes a little practice but is so much quicker than an iron.

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/10/2019 18:25

I can imagine they’re fab. I only do 5 shirts a week for dh so I’d be hard pressed, no pun intended, to justify the costs.

But if I did bedding then oh yes they’d be fab.

A colleague knew a woman with an ironing board that drew the steam through the board as you ironed. When her cleaner had annual leave she realised she didn’t know how to work it.

I saw a folding robot on YouTube. It looked amazing.

The t-shirt folder is great. Wouldn't be without it.

Not the one I have and I certainly didn't pay that much for it

That’s on my amazon wish list now. Looks good.

I use it on jeans too.

Mosaic123 · 26/10/2019 20:02

Not sure if it counts, but I love my waste disposal. Saves getting rid of smelly rubbish all the time, especially in the summer.

MellyNotSmelly · 26/10/2019 21:12

Panini press.

We have a t shirt folder for the kids to use, but I made it from a cardboard box and gaffer tape!

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/10/2019 21:19

Anything that makes the monotonous, relentless business of running a home easier counts.

I’m looking at winbots for the windows. £17 a time round here.

The retired people next door must be loaded. They have windows done monthly, the wheelie bin cleaning service & the lawn man. Respect.

I would also think of Labour saving in terms of things like online supermarket deliveries.

And appliances that are optimised to save time, like a dishwasher that fully dries or opens when it finishes to let steam out, Pyrolytic oven lining, auto-dosing washing machine, frost free fridge freezer.

rslsys · 26/10/2019 21:38

Timer & Moisture sensor gizmo which waters our flowerbeds in the summer. Not that it's been contributing much in the last few weeks!

FaithInfinity · 26/10/2019 21:38

Instant pot! Pressure cooker slow cooker in one! I’m still getting to grips with mine but I love it.

I second the subscribe and save. It’s saved me a fortune in impulse buys (especially from Lidl) and it’s so convenient.

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/10/2019 21:47

My dw opens at the end of the cycle.

The garden waterer sounds brilliant.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 26/10/2019 21:54

A robo mower, my Mum has one and she loves it. She named it Monty.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/10/2019 07:47

Good for her. It’s better than having fake grass put down.

Vileda window cleaner

Absolutely saved us as we have glazing everywhere in the house

BrutusMcDogface · 28/10/2019 19:36

I couldn’t get my head round subscribe and save (are you talking about amazon?)

Myimaginaryfamiliarhasfleas · 28/10/2019 21:46

Depends on whether, like me, you've got several mature apple trees yielding masses of fruit. If so, then you need Lakeland's apple peeler/corer which pares off the peel in one long tidy strip, cuts the apple into a spiral and removes the core, all with a few turns of a handle.

You will also need industrial quantities of sticking plaster because it has plenty of sharp edges and takes chunks out of my fingers every sodding year. Mine must be the only apple crumble not suitable for vegetarians...

stucknoue · 28/10/2019 21:51

My rice cooker is my favourite appliance. I also recommend a student dd whose broke - they are 20 years in the making though

This looks just like the one Lakeland sell for £10. Apparently very good on blinds.
